Trigonocephaly (“metopic synostosis”). This form of craniosynostosis results from a premature fusion between the two bones of the forehead. Children with this condition tend to have a triangular or keel-shaped forehead. The distance between the eyes may be narrower than usual and the outer corners of the eyes may be angled upward.
