SUMMARY:2022 CCA Retreat & Educational Symposium
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that FFC will again sponsor families to attend CCA’s Annual Family Retreat & Educational Symposium.  \nCCA’s Annual Family Retreat & Educational Symposium is held each June to provide individuals affected by a facial difference\, their siblings and parents an opportunity to interact with others who have endured similar experiences. The unique format of the Retreat allows families to share ideas\, problems and solutions and make life-long friendships. The weekend kicks off on Thursday with an Educational Symposium and the rest of the weekend allows time and activities to build new relationships and bonds of understanding and caring\, which will lend support through both difficult and good times in the future. \nWhen:  June 23 to June 26\, 2022.  Please note that the educational symposium starts on the morning of June 25. \nWhere:  Sheraton Dallas Hotel\, Dallas Tx. Please note all families will be staying here. \nHow to Register: Registration will close March 11\, 2022 or when all spots have been filled. CCA will open a waitlist when spots are filled. We have capacity for 600-700 attendees\, depending on our final budget. \nIf you would like to attend\, email Annie Reeves at AReeves@ccakids.com  as spots are filling up quickly and registration may close prior to March 11th\, 2022. \nWhat:  There are speakers\, workshops\, group dinners\, dance parties\, pool parties and many other fun activities.  Here are stories from the 2019 CCA Retreat Sponsored families about their experience.  For additional information and photos\, please go to the CCA website. \nScholarship Application\nCCA offers scholarships for travel assistance \nHow to Apply:  The deadline for the 2022 retreat is Please complete the 2022 CCA Sponsorship Application and Photo Release and email it to programs@facesofchildren.org along with your essay to be considered for sponsorship by FFC to attend the 2020 CCA Retreat.  Please Note:  FFC sponsorship is eligible for residents of the New England states only. \nHow Sponsorship works: \n\nThe Retreat is organized and run by CCA (Children’s Craniofacial Association).  If chosen for sponsorship by FFC\, you (and your family) will need to complete the CCA registration process in order to attend.  Please review the CCA registration documents before you apply for sponsorship to make sure you understand the requirements.  Please note: CCA has a few new registration requirements which includes families are limited to 6 people\, an email address is required for each person over age 18\, watching a video and passing the associated quiz.  If you have questions on the CCA Retreat or their registration requirements\, please reach out to Annie Reeves at areeves@ccakids.com.\nIf chosen for sponsorship\, FFC will award your family with a CCA Family Scholarship ($2\,500) paid to CCA to cover registration fees\, hotel charges and other travel expenses.  CCA will deduct the registration fee\, hotel charges and send each family a check with any left over balance to go towards their travel expenses.  Each family is responsible for booking their own airfare/travel arrangements and please keep in mind prices fluctuate so families need to plan accordingly.\nFFC also asks each sponsored family to sign a photo release form\, provide a family photo to use for sponsorship announcement and photos taken at the Retreat along with a story about your experience.  If you have any questions about the FFC sponsorship application process\, please reach out to communications@facesofchildren.org.

CCA will deduct the aforementioned charges and any remaining balance will be disbursed to your family to go towards other related travel expenses. Each family is responsible for booking their own airfare/travel arrangements and CCA will book your hotel accommodations.
