Mark Powell, New Boston, NH  was awarded the Barbara Seltzer Memorial Scholarship. He graduated from The Derryfield School in Manchester, N.H. He was active in sports, participating in golf and tennis, both with the distinction of captain. Mark served as editor and writer for his school newspaper, The Lamplighter. He enjoys theater and has been active in both musical and play productions including “Rent” and “The Man Who Came to Dinner.” His volunteer efforts include working with Habitat for Humanity in North Carolina, to build homes for the underprivileged; volunteering locally at the community dinner and food pantry; as well as providing tech services at his local library. Mark will attend the University of Utah this fall where he will study Entertainment Arts Engineering in the Computer Science Program. His dreams for the future are working at an animation studio such as Pixar or Dreamworks or a video game studio like EA or DICE.
